I have one with PT9 HD2 and I've been experimenting with the PT10 demo and using it Native Style(not the Native Card). Okay.I'm certainly not telling you to get a first generation, Quad 2.66 Mac Pro because like all things you buy 's a dinosaur tomorrow but. (the specs in my signature are not for the computer I am talking about here) I didn't think this would be enough to run a bunch of waves plugins at once. My friend is trying to sell me a first generation mac pro, 4gb ram, dual 2.66 processors (quad core total). We don't plan on upgrading to HD with this setup. Anyone have any suggestions? The biggest session I've had so far is 74 tracks with a butt load of plugins, but they were all avid, so system resources weren't an issue.
